Hi! I’m Astrid, an illustrator living in Heerenveen, the Netherlands. During the 2020 lockdown I discovered watercolor through calligraphy and illustration, and quickly fell in love with painting everyday places. Inspired by my travels and a lifelong love for historic cities, I now create watercolor illustrations of shopfronts, houses, and facades from around the world. I began sharing my work on Instagram in 2020, where more than 300,000 people now follow my illustrations. My favorite subjects are charming buildings in the UK and France, and one of my most cherished works, a tearoom in Bath, appears on the cover of my first coloring book, Urban Colouring.
