My name is Astrid, also known as Urban Anna. I was born in 1969 in the Netherlands. I am a self-taught artist and started creating illustrations with watercolor and pen in 2020. Using my distinctive fineliner drawing and watercolor painting techniques, each artwork brings urban scenes from all over the world to life with detail and vibrant colors.
I am the author of two coloring books and an instruction book. My third coloring book will be launched in October 2024. My art has a worldwide audience, with over 300k followers on Instagram, and the rights to my first book have been sold all over the world, including the US, Germany, France, and Japan.
My work focuses on capturing the beauty of worldly architecture and making the mundane magical!
Though it may seem old-fashioned, and despite my great success online, my preference lies in presenting my art in physical form, particularly through books.
